Giveaway Glitch....Aaaargh!
>> Thursday, October 23, 2008
Hmmm...for some unknown reason, my blog was not accepting comments. I've just fixed the problem (with DH's assistance, of course, I was stumped). It makes no sense to me, and it has happened to several other people--but not everyone. So the comments stop working on MY blog the day I start a contest. Go figure.
Thanks to everyone who sent me an email alerting me to the problem and requesting to be entered in the contest. I'll make sure your names get in the mix.
Now, all that being said, if you want to enter the contest, please leave a message on the previous post. Thanks, and sorry for the confusion. Aren't computers supposed to make our lives easier?
Apron Giveaway Celebration!
>> Wednesday, October 22, 2008
I've been toying with the idea of selling online for quite a while, and I decided the Handmade Holiday party was just the kick-in-the-pants I needed to get things moving. Since The Nester is so awesomely promoting crafters--and also to kick off the opening of my etsy store, I thought I'd spread the joy by hosting my own giveaway today. (And no, I am not giving away my 5 year old.)
Today's giveaway is for this handmade Child's Apron and Kids Cooking Gift Set, and here's what the set includes:
Kid sized cooking utensils: wooden rolling pin, wire whisk, wooden spatula, and three tin cookie cutters (about 2" across).
I use only high-quality quilt shop fabrics and threads, and have chosen high quality kitchen supplies as well. Be sure to visit my etsy shop for more apron gift sets and other quilty things.
To enter, leave a comment--one entry per person, please. If you put a link to my contest on your blog, you can enter twice. The winner will be chosen on Monday, October 27. Good luck!

Grandmother's Garden in Progress
>> Tuesday, October 21, 2008
I like to have a hand-work project to keep me awake while riding in the car on road trips. And last weekend was quite a road trip as we made the 6 hour trek to and from St. George, plus the all-day trip to the Grand Canyon! Here is my progress so far, and maybe in another 10 years, I'll have enough for a whole quilt :)
Jessi's New Apron
>> Sunday, October 19, 2008
Jessi is my little kitchen helper, and I knew she'd love a little apron that was just her size. So here she is modeling her new favorite kitchen attire. I love the fabric line--Woodland Bloom for Moda Fabrics by Lila Tueller, and I also love the sweet criss-cross tie in the back.
Happy Birthday, Sean
>> Sunday, October 12, 2008
This year for Sean's birthday, I decided to make him a quilt of his very own. So, here is his "Checkerboard Stars" in green and cream.

August & September Customer Quilts
>> Friday, October 10, 2008
August and September were two crazy months in my life, so I didn't get many customer quilts done. And, since I am behind in my posting, I decided to combine the two months into one post.
Baptism quilt for Juila T.
Wall hanging sampler for LQS
"If the Hat Fits" by Buggy Barn for Jayme A.
Baby Quilt for Keri J.
Table topper for Sandra K.
Autumn wall hanging for Bette G.
"Double Denim" pattern (minus the denim fabric) for Margene B.
